Apr 18 to May 2 Hank Williams: The Show He Never Gave presented by Persephone Theatre
Remai Arts Centre, 100 Spadina Crescent East
Hank Williams was one of the most influential songwriters of the 40's and early 50's, whose impact spanned genres from country to blues to rock 'n' roll. On New Years Eve 1953, at the age of just 29, Hank Williams died in the back seat of his Cadillac. This spellbinding, musical portrayal looks at the man behind the legend and presents the concert he never gave, featuring many of his hits including: Hey Good Lookin', Your Cheatin' Heart, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, and Rootie Tootie.
