Dimensions is a juried, touring exhibition of Fine Craft organized by the Saskatchewan Craft Council. Open to any resident of Saskatchewan, 183 pieces by 110 artists were submitted. Jurors Belinda Harrow and Jenna Stanton selected 36 pieces by 35 artists for the exhibition. Dimensions encourages artists to strive for excellence and to push themselves creatively and technically. The exhibition is a comprehensive example of their artistic success and a visual delight for you, the viewer. More Info

Children's Discovery Museum on the SaskatchewanMarket Mall on Preston Avenue South
Thanks to the generosity of the Manitoba Children’s Museum and several groups in Saskatoon, the Children’s Discovery Museum has some new exhibits and activities. And we still have our old favourites too, like the Muddy Paws Animal Clinic. Come on in and learn through play! Hours are Monday to Saturday 9:30 – 4 and Sunday noon – 4. Admission is $3.50 for everyone over the age of 1. We also do birthday parties and school group visits. Check out our website or call 306-683-2555 for more information.

Little Stone Schoolhouse Open House Little Stone Schoolhouse, U of S Campus, Clinic Drive beside St. Andrew’s College
11:00am to 2:00pm daily. Celebrate Canada 150 by bringing your family and friends to explore the Little Stone Schoolhouse (LSS) from 11 am - 2 pm August 5-11! Museum staff in period dress will be there to welcome you and tell you the history of Saskatoon’s first school. The school is only open to the public twice a year, so be sure to take advantage of this opportunity! Website

$25/Day or $60/weekend, 12 and under FREE. John Arcand Fiddle Fest is a full weekend of family friendly fun. The festival is widely acclaimed for quality instruction and culturally diverse artistic presentations. Workshops, concerts, old time dances and more, are all free with a onetime gate fee and 12 and under are free. There’s shuttle service from Saskatoon, on-site concession, free un-serviced camping and a children’s activity area. Participants and audience come from a variety of ancestries and from all over Saskatchewan, Canada and the United States. Celebrate Canada at 150 by exploring Canadian history displays on the Great War, Whitecap Dakota First Nation, women’s suffrage, & the Maple Leaf, as well as hands-on activities and replica artifacts. Visitors are invited to share their hopes for Canada’s future and add it to an ever-growing tapestry that is traveling across the city during the project. Website
